After high school, I went to Penn State and received a BS in Marketing in December 1968. I also got married in December 1968.
I joined the US Army in March 1969. I was a military policeman and spent 13 months in Chun Chon, Korea. After Korea, I was posted to a battalion headquarters in Furth, Germany. I completed my Army obligation in January 1972. I was discharged in Germany and took a job at an American Express bank as a teller until June 1972. My wife and I then backpacked though Europe until August 1972.
After returning to the US, I entered a training program as an Office Manager for Almart/JB Hunter working at stores in Wilmington, DE and Rochester, NY. In October 1974, I accepted a job as Field Auditor for The Singer Company. In July 1976, I was transferred to Syosset, NY as Audit Supervisor and was eventually transferred to Edison, NJ as Accounting Supervisor in 1988. I left The Singer Company in 1998 when they closed their office in NJ.
I had several jobs until December 2004 when I accepted a position as Audit Supervisor for The Elephant Group and retired in 2008. I have one son who graduated from Penn State and Gonzaga School of Law. He is a lawyer residing in Reno, NV and is married and has three children. My wife and I are considering relocating there.
