Chromebooks interpret a tap on the touchpad as a left mouse click, no matter where the tap is. Unlike a laptop, a tap on the right side of the touchpad will not be interpreted as a right mouse click.

Instead, you can use any of the following methods to initiate a right mouse click.

• If you have a mouse connected, you can click the right mouse button (as the name of this action implies).

• You can use the touchpad by tapping it simultaneously with two fingers.

• A third option is to hold down the alt key and tap the touchpad with one finger.
