I was a senior in high school in '63-'64, and the Mustang was introduced in the spring of '64.   Oh, the hours I spent in the school library reading and re-reading the magazine ads and articles for this exciting and beautiful new car!   At the time I thought they could shut down all car design studios because the perfect car had been designed and produced.   I never did own one, but a huge number of people did: Over 1,000,000 were made in just the first 18 months of production.
