EFIN Error When Starting A Return

After entering the taxpayer's SSN to start a return, the system returns an EFIN error message.

This problem seems to be caused by a long idle time in TaxSlayer before starting a new return (approximaterly 20 minutes). (Other symptoms can include the "Logoff" option disappearing from the upper right corner of the client list, an empty client list, a blank page when you go to the main menu, and a profile list with test or other strange entries.)

The solution is to exit TaxSlayer (close the Browser window) and then start a new session.
